Identity – The Continual Learner

• Your new identity is of the continual learner
• Continual learner trumps all other identities
• Continual learner is an umbrella identity because all other identities fall under this one.

ABL = Always Be Learning (Tom Bilyeu)

• Learn during your “down time.” Examples: When you are driving, when you are showing or bathing, Wake up an hour earlier, the last 30 minutes of the day, In waiting rooms, learn instead of being on social media.
• Methods of learning. Examples: Podcast, Audio books, eBooks, paper books, videos, phone apps, software, Reddit
• Do not fall into learning loops. You are learning just to be learning. You are learning to multiple things at a time. You are a learning loop addict. Here is how to not fall in the trap of learning loops.

Learn With Intention

• What is the purpose of what you are learning?
• What is the value of learning?
• What category does it fall into?

Learn One Thing At A Time

• Start off learning one thing at a time until you master it.
• After you mastered one thing at a time then you can be learning multiple things at a time but only 1 per category and no more than 2 categories at a time.
• If you take on to may projects to learn at a time you will retain little of what you learned.

Take Action On What You Have Learned

• Have you ever bought a book, eBook or audio book and never read or listened to the book?
• Have you ever bought a course and never took it?
• Have you ever gone to a seminar or convention and missed some or most of it?
• Are you looking for the next shinny thing?
• You have to learn one thing at a time and then take action on it. Example: read a book, take notes as you read, after you finish the book go over your notes, then apply what you read to your life.
• Move on to the next thing you need to learn and repeat the steps.
